Current gathering details, practical guidance, and seasonal notes for upcoming club activity.

Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 19:15 in the east field of Meadow Park. We begin with a short sky orientation, then move to telescope sharing by 19:45. Please arrive ten minutes early so setup remains calm and lights stay low.

If cloud cover exceeds 70% at 17:00, we shift to the library classroom at the same start time for chart reading and observation logs. A confirmation update is posted by 17:30 on the Meetups page.

Bring a red-light flashlight, a warm outer layer, and a notebook for quick sketches or notes. If you have binoculars, bring them; if not, shared equipment is available and labeled for rotation.

October sessions will focus on Andromeda, Cassiopeia, and the late-evening rise of Taurus. We will compare naked-eye patterns with finder-scope views and note visibility changes across the month.

No prior astronomy experience is required. Each meetup includes a short orientation on sky directions and equipment etiquette, and members are encouraged to ask questions at any point during the session.
